| Hopefully when you get it working you will let us all know and also open it up to the public so we can ALL play??!! NOVA P.S. I could give you tips and advice on running a HAT if you want. There are SO many things you can do to alter the game. I'll give just one simple example to illustrate.....suppose you want to change the level of magic an elven teleport scroll casts....you can do this. In fact, you can remove teleport scrolls from the game totally so that ONLY mages can teleport if you want. You can also set it up so that the game rules are different on different servers (so for instance teleport works on one server but not on another). Also, if you want, you can set up an automatic account registration web page so players can make their own accounts on your HAT. You can also set up a HAT status web page to display what other players are on your HAT right now, what maps are currently running, how long until the maps change, what the next map will be....etc. All of this (and much more) is easily done. | you thinking right -- you obtain a ip address -- you notify ip to friends -- you permit hamachi client of friends to connect to your vpn -- you and friends have pk-nic together |

| so i set up a hamatchi network a friend connects then i start a server with that local ip and then my vriend types in that local ip then he can connect or am i thinking it wrong | ||||

| aye you write uglier english than me -- i am happy man thank to you i feel better and you win prize for that -- read if you are behind router forget of running hat with router you must use hamachi or other vpn program -- search in google to learn more rom2 uses directx directx uses directplay directplay is bugged directplay is unable to forward your local packets to outside -- it means that your rom2 can not communicate with outside world -- this is to explain it quickly more new versions of directx do not make use of directplay microsoft has dropped support for that component and now encourage use of winsock api this does change not things -- rom2 make use of a directx which make use of a directplay which is bugged and your rom2 server can not properly reach the outside vpn are virtual private network and they can solve rom2 problem hamachi is a vpn program -- there are others too aye today i write like shit too -- but still happy |

| hello all my english sucks because i am dutch but you understand i have a problem i am making a Hat server and but in as IP 192.168.2.101 that works but that is my local ip if i am going to try my IP that i get from www.ip-adress.com then it does not work how can i fix this? |
